Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015 and Safeguarding Practice Seminar Exploring the operational application of the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015 when dealing with adult safeguarding concerns of abuse Overview The purpose of this practice seminar is to provide an opportunity for staff, who are dealing with adult safeguarding concerns in line with national policy and procedures, to explore the operational implications of the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015, which commenced in April 2023. Participants will: - Explore operational implications of the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015 when dealing with adult safeguarding concerns - Be provided with an overview of the requirements of the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015 - Explore those requirements in relation to dealing with adult safeguarding concerns - Consider the operational implications for effective lawful safeguarding operational and practice approaches This programme will be delivered live online.
